• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Cannot do different size segments on the same ring?

I'm trying to design a somewhat simple pattern with a 20 piece ring 10 segments larger with 10 smaller segments, then the next ring would be the same but could offset so the rings result in what I would call a blocked zig zag pattern. I can get close with open segments using the open spaces as the second set of 10 segments. I thought I could just do and "extra ring" to provide info for the segments in the spaces, but you cannot change the degrees for the spaces. The problem is you cannot change the offset of the rings to show the pattern and it will not show the open segments in the plan summary or the type of wood. So the only way I can think to do this is to do two open segment rings half the ring with the bowl plan then create a new plan just for the segments that would fill the open spaces. Then I would have the plan summary to cut the segements.

Any other ideas?

Build your segments as a very simple feature ring. The feature segments would only have two parts. Dont know if the program would allow the whole thing being feature rings though.

An image of the vessel and pattern would be helpful.
You are correct that for a closed vessel WTP does not allow you to different size segments in the same ring.
Have you tried the spacer option. It allows a different wood and size.

Another option is to build your segments as two part (the two different wood species).

The spacer option does not build a segment here is a view of the bowl I've not yet assigned wood species but you should get the idea.. I'm using open segment degree at 22 and 14, but why does it revert to 4 degrees after it was saved at 22 when it is opened? Here is a screen shot

Opps.. how do you get an image posted?

This is a basic zig zag pattern that is more simple to do. segments all the same length.
