• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Future Software

The current software is limited to a Windows based operating system with specific hacks to allow partitioning or other means of emulating it on a Mac based operating system. Configuring a MAC to run Windows based software is not something I wish to endeavour into for many reasons. Buying another Windows based PC or laptop is also an added expense I don't wish to invest in, nor do I have the space to set up for single software resource.

It's been about 3 years since the alternative methods of using the software have been discussed and it seems with all of the advances in computer technology, that something based on a MAC operating system might be a serious consideration in the near future.

I do lack the understanding of programming and all of its components to make this change a reality, but it seems that the future of computers is advancing by leaps and bounds. I appreciate the efforts of those who know how to make this possible, it's just frustrating to know that it has not come to fruition yet.

Thanks
Dave

Unfortunately the current best solution is emulating windows on a mac. Lloyd has addresses this quite awhile back. There is not enough demand for the software to be written for a Mac operating system. Especially for a small business.

Other options are to purchase a new windows 10 laptop for under $300 or check out a good used one for less.

Dave,

I keep hoping that someone will make a Mac version someday but it won’t be me. The 3D libraries I use require C# and .Net and similar high-level code libraries that do 90% of the work for me simply don’t exist for MacOS. Although you can compile C# for a Mac with a Mac Graphical User Interface, the license for the technology is high and it is still a work-in-progress. I would use it for making iOS apps but not for full-blown Mac applications. Anything built with it is certainly going to require extensive support and bug fixes and as a one-person company, there’s no way I could justify the huge investment of time and money that would be required to pull it off. Plus, I’m looking forward to retiring as a segmenter, not a programmer. :->

Your reluctance to using Apple’s Bootcamp to create a small physical disk partition is unwarranted, IMHO. With the speed at which Macs boot, it is simply not an issue to boot to the Mac or the Windows partition and you now have two computers instead of one. Although you could certainly give me reasons why you don’t want to do this, I’ve been doing it for years without a single issue. The partitions know nothing about each other and I now only boot to the Mac on rare occasions.

Having been a Mac lover for years, I can tell you that Windows 10 is a game changer and things things you didn’t like about Windows XP, 7, 8 and 8.1 have been resolved or eliminated and it runs on hardware that costs far less than half of a Mac with comparable specifications.

I’m not trying to get anyone to switch allegiances but I do think it’s important to point out that long-held prejudices about Windows need to be revisited. I can’t imagine segmenting in 2020 without software and waiting for a Mac solution might be a long wait.

Merry Christmas!
Lloyd

Dave

I have an older lap top with windows 10 that I have not used but got it from a church friend who needed the funds. PM me your address and I will send it to you.

I love to help people and that is why I help vets like me plus I want to cut down their suicide rate. I was in their shoes and know what it is like.

Hope Dave takes it up.
