pic 3.JPG pic 2.JPG I changed the center piece to black walnut in paint view but when I return to bowl view only one diamond is black walnut. The summary shows that I only added one black walnut piece. I also noticed when I am in the bowl view the bowl summary height of the bowl in the summary area does not agree with bowl height adjustment at the top of the page. pic 1.JPG pic 2.JPG pic 3.JPG pic 2.JPG pic 3.JPG

Will try and look at your json file later today. First thought is to stop and close SP. Reboot your PC and then start SP again. Open the plan and see if it is still messed up or correct.

    GD:
I had a chance to look at your file some more. I imported the json file. The bowl summary shows 4" as did height adjuster at the top.

To your painting issue. I opened the plan. I selected repeat per row to 1. Painted 4 segments inside your pattern. They all changed in the bowl view. I saved the plan. closed SP and opened the program again. Opened the plan and the changes were still in place.

Your plan has 24 segments per ring. I then when into paint again. In the repeat per row I selected 4. I painted a segment within the pattern and it repeated the new species 4 times. Seems to work.
So I am not sure if the paint issue was. Maybe you were not selecting the correct repeat number?

quick view of your plan with my painting.

I set my repeat like you suggested and it fixed the issue. Rebooting the machine fixed the issue with the difference in the height. Thanks for your help

    Your welcome.
    - That is what is nice about the Forums. We all can learn and figure out solutions.
    - SP is a complex program. I know it generates the saved plans each time it starts up. Sometimes when making changes it gets confused or the computer gets confused. As I tell some of my fellow woodworkers, computers and software can sense fear. Sometimes the things just like to mess with us. lol.

I run into that same issue quite often also with the bowl height I fiddle with the settings and wall thickness a bit and it fixes it. I also had the painting issue a few times and messing with the repeat fixed it like what was being said. I think the program gets confused and needs a digital smack every once in a while. Lol
