Making segmented bottom instead of disk?

Not directly.
Make note of your base diameter.
Start a new bowl make a ring the same diameter.
You now have the information to make that ring
 
Bob is correct. SP does not allow you to change the base from disk to segmented.
If you have Wood Turner Pro you can change the base to a disk.
 
I would like to also mention that making a full segmented base right is not a good ides. It will eventually pull it self apart. If you want to make a segmented base make it several thinner rings and use a floating base.
