• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Good start.
I like the colors. You going to leave it as a zig zag (chevron) pattern?
I haven't decided for sure yet. I might rip it and try for a diamond shape. I'm still figuring out all the cuts. I'm watching the tutorial videos to get a better grasp on it. I am thinking of getting some cheap pine, etc. paint it and then try it first before I use the hardwoods. I'm open to all suggestions.

That looks great! I highly recommend using some cheaper wood like you said to practice the next cut. The cut has to be very precise to get a good match on the diamonds. I'm still practicing that myself.

Thanks. Any ideas on the best way to cut the angles on the height of each segment? Some say cut it like a stave. I can't seem to get it right.

Richard,
I'm still very new to this and have only tried it twice so far. For now I've been making the vertical cuts on the miter saw using a stop block. Once I flip every other piece to make the Chevron and glue it up I rip it down the middle on the tablesaw. My second attempt was much better than my first. The second glueup is where I need a little more accuracy to get the diamond aligned better. I made a jig to clamp the pieces but got just a little bit of shift so the diamonds weren't as good as I want. You have to be perfectly accurate on each step or the errors compound and the result gets progressively worse.

I haven't been able to get back to this for several months and as I said I'm still learning. Hopefully some of the more experienced people here can give you some better suggestions.

I think I might have misunderstood your question. Are you referring to cuts you make while constructing the lamination or cuts to make the segments?
