We are less than a month and a half to the 2018 Segmented Symposium.
I was just wondering if there are any members here that are going?
I'm planning on being there the day before it starts to help with the set up.
But, it would really be nice to put some faces to some of the names we see here in the forum.
It would be nice if we all could get together and have a beer or in my case a whiskey.

So if your going please chime in here and I'll make sure I look for you and get to at least say HI.

    Hi All,

I m a new kid on the block. I am just getting into segmented turning. I have completed my first bowl and screwed up the second. I am going to the Symposium and will be in Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to meeting people and learning new things.

    Talk to you there.

    Don

    Hi Don,
That is pretty much where I was two years ago before the Boston symposium. I can not tell you how much I learned at the symposium and how it built up my confidence, this is the BEST thing you can do if your interested in segmenting.

Is it ever going to be close to Omaha/Council Bluffs? I would LOVE to go to one some day that does not require a days drive or day drive.
Even when I go up and see my Dad in Superior (Only 3 times in 11 years since the bombing) I can only go about 4 to 5 hours before I have to stop at a motel/hotel for the night and I am not even driving.
I do know that the AAW one is going to be in Omaha in 2020 and will go to that one.

We are now starting to look for a location. The idea is to try and keep it in the midwest
