Modifying segment thickness

I have noticed that when using the CTRL/arrow keys to modify board width, the changes are in 1/16" increments. When using the SHIFT/arrow keys the increments are 1/4".

Is this me or the program?

That is a question for Lloyd.
imo, it is a short cut to help in the build. For example, if you select more than one row, it is easy to see what the vessel would look like if one goes from 3/4 thick rings to 1/2" to 1/4.
