• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Hello all,

I am an old time woodworker. I have been woodworking most of my life and have a range from bird houses/feeders to a full 1800 sq. ft. home that my wife and I designed, did all working drawings and completed in 2 years on a 10 acre rural property about 40 yrs. ago. It was without a doubt the most ambitious project to date. I recently discovered segmented turning and will funnel my energies in that direction. I primarily use recycled lumber most of the time and have a friend that gives me all his drops from his high end residential projects. I have walnut, oak, mahogany, ash and others that I don't know the names of.;) I am currently looking to build a segment sled and am looking for plans. Thanks for listening.

Welcome to the forum. One option for you to consider for your sled is the segeasy sled for cutting segments.

Take a look at Lloyds vids on his software. Then download for a free 30 trial. If you are serious about segmenting Lloyd's software is excellent.
It is great you have a source of wood. The forums are a great place to ask questions, provide input and share some of your projects.

Welcome to the Woodturner PRO community! Many of us, including me, followed the same path - longtime woodworkers that migrated to segmenting. It makes sense because segmenting demands a lot of woodworking skills.

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions on either the software on or segmenting. There are a lot of people here that just like to be helpful. It’s what I like the best about this site.
