• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.
  • Due to a scam attack, the gallery is temporarily turned off. I am working to get this fixed but I have some other things that are higher prioriity. I do hope to have it back soon and there shouldn't be any changes to the content. At least, that is the hope.

Good day,

I'm a new~ish turner (about a year). Completed my first segmented bowl a couple of weeks ago and I'm afraid I might be hooked!
index.php

I'm actively shopping for a computerized assistant, and I'm feeling SegmentPro as the front runner.

I'm glad to meet all of you and look forward to taking advantage of your expertise.

Regards,

Brett

Brett for a first bowl you sure have a winner, nice job.
Yes I warn people all the time: Segmented turning can and is very addicting.
So consider yourself warned, but it looks I might be to late.

Yes Segment Pro is the best software out there, and easiest to use.
Woodturner Pro has a more advanced options like variable row thicknesses and the ability to change from open to close segments in the same bowl.
But Segment Pro has the great paint options and the 3D view.

Welcome to the forum your off to a great start, but if you have any question this is the place to get your answers. We are all learning so no question is to small.

An excellent first bowl. Puts my first bowl to shame. Bob summed up the software well.

So welcome to the forum. Hope you will post more work in the gallery and use the forum to ask questions and share experiences.

Brett you should go thru Lloyd's videos on the software, he does a good job breaking it down in understandable chucks.
When you get thru those take a look in the "Follow Along Project" myself and others have journaled some of our projects from design to finish with all the bad along the way. Lots of questions and answers along the way

+1 on viewing the tutorial videos. Helped me a lot.

Oh...and welcome!
