Painting segments issue

Hello Everyone,
I just loaded the latest version of Segment Pro and am im having an issue with the paint feature I have a design saved in 48 segments and want to change it to 96 segments .
first the design doesn't automatically adjust to the new segments per ring value just shows unpainted segments . so I figured I would just paint the pattern in to complete the design but when I click return to bowl all my additions are removed and im back to the bowl only being half painted. :(
am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch in the newest version ?

Thanks
Bruce

First only the segments you have painted will show up painted, so when you went from 48 painted to 96. The other 48 are not painted that's normal.
Second once you save a copy to 96 it best to save it right away. Then exit the bowl and then reload it and then restart painting it, you will have less problems

Thanks for the info Bob I saved it and then tried to repaint and had the same problem. I found if I change the repeats to 1 and then paint a single block then return to the bowl it worked :)
then I could return to using all the reoeat options and paint correctly.

until recently, if you changed the number of segments I deleted everything and you started from scratch. I the found it was possible to reduce the number by one or more repeats and maintain a valid design. If you do a reduction, the extra segments don't do away which means that you can increase it after reducing it and the segments will be restored.

However, if you start with a certain number of segments and increase that number, all bets are off. If you were to take a look at this code, you would be amazed as I am that it works at all. I certainly am not going to try to fix this scenario because the odds that I fix it instead of breaking what is working are very low.

You have correctly found that working with a repeat of one will work.
