• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Open Segment Project "Interwoven"

Sorry it's been a bit since I was able to get a bit of lathe time. Had a spare hour this afternoon so I managed to do the final turning minus that one last touch. Did the power sanding 80, 120, 180, 220, 320 & 400. Ended up with a wall thickness of 5/16 (7.5mm ish). I am pleased with the overall shape. Next I will spray my finish concentrating on the gaps first and then lightly resanding prior to the finish coats. If anyone has a good process that they use for the open segment work now would be a good time to comment. I will start the finish tomorrow. Thanks for any comments you have.

Watch that one last touch, this is too nice to have anything go wrong at this point. After you post the finished piece how about a shot showing it in it's final display loction?

I thought about putting it in my safety deposit box, so you wouldn't be able to see it!!!

all joking aside When I get it done I will stage it for a picture.

well i like a glass like finish on my turnings which involve building up layers of laquer the sanding smooth through the grits to about 3000 grit wet and dry then polishing with t-cut to get a perfect finish, with open segmented turning you carnt do that,
