  • Due to a scam attack, the gallery is temporarily turned off. I am working to get this fixed but I have some other things that are higher prioriity. I do hope to have it back soon and there shouldn't be any changes to the content. At least, that is the hope.

I have created a bowl with 3 rings all created using wheel ring type.

Row 2 - maple with walnut vertical spacers (spokes)
Row 4 - maple with walnut vertical spacers (spokes)
Row 3 - Tried to create walnut with maple vertical spacers (spokes)
Row 3 is the problem when I set it up as such it will not properly appear - please see attached image1 before selecting vertical spacer - please see image2 after selecting vertical spacer. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. I just replicated the issue so hopefully Lloyd will check in and let us know it there have been any changes.
 
mcjayjay, I get the same results using flat or wheel, it's going to have to be something Lloyd checks out in the program itself.
 
I just did a quick test. From what I see WTP only allows you to choice one type of wood species for spacers. That species is used on all rings that you have spacers.

It looks pretty much the same in SP. one species for the spacers.

The reason that the Vertical Spacer field is on the right is where the properties for the Project are located. Woodturner PRO had become so full of fields that were almost never used, I chose to make some things work at the Project level, not the Row level and Vertical Spacers is one of them.

In the few times I used different wood for spacers, it was pretty easy to calculate how much material I needed for the rings. It was no big deal that WTP did not show the change on the screen. WTP and SP are still the best segment planning software out today.
