• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Hi Lloyd,

A couple of observations.... I have a two screen system and when Segment Pro is on the second screen and you crop and save a plan it grabs screen one, not the project I am working on. Move the program to screen one and it works correctly.

Next observation.... I create a new painted plan, it will save ok but when I export it, it says it does and I can see it in the correct location. I exit Segment Pro, start new session and try to import that same file, Segment Pro show an empty screen. What am I doing incorrectly?

I really like the new software, awesome.......Thank you for your help.

Pete,

I'm not sure what control I have over a screen capture programmatically. It will take some research.

You wouldn't be able to import a plan that already exists. You'll see that if you delete the existing one before importing, it will then import fine. Give that a try with a test Plan and it should work as described. I'm on the road in NYC for a couple days and won't be able to do any testing but have tested exactly the scenario described before.

Please advise how I can print a copy of the paint page in SegmenterPro. I annotate get printscreen function to work and there is no print command associated with this page.

Hi Lloyd. I have a couple of issues/questions.
1. The latest version adds a column of length after the segment count in the species range on the summary page. This was not in this view before, at least not on t,he print out I have for the diamond vase I posted last week. It is now. To what does this number relate. It does not seem to be a multiple of segment length and segment count for that species. What is it?
2. When I load a plan and see the bowl view the view is not completely painted. A second try through the plan seems to correct this most of the time.
3. How can I print a copy of the paint screen? Print screen does not work.
4. Some of t he numbers in the species columns of the summary view are cut off partly. Is there a way to widen the columns in this view. The normal spread sheet operation to do this does not seem to work.
Thanks for your help. Malcolm.

Hi Lloyd. Another issue is that when I try to post the system tells me that I must be logged in to do that, but I was logged in to start with and I have ticked the box to stay logged in. When I re log in the posted is made when I return to that page. This seems to be a new issue, not seen it before last weekend. Malcolm.

#3 After selecting print screen you should be able to use ctrl V and paste to a blank word or notebook page.

Malcolm,
You perhaps missed the post I made last week that I am completely replacing the current GridView with a completely new spreadsheet view that will make all formatting issues go away. This is actually going quite well, but I cannot post an upgrade until it is done and there are probably a few more days before it will get to that point. So if there are issues with the current view (and there obviously are), I will be able to fix them after the new grid is complete. I can no longer make changes to what you are currently looking at because it no longer exists.

I had to purchase additional tools to make this new grid possible. I was hoping the one I was using would be an adequate solution, but it clearly wasn't capable of doing the things I needed it to do. This new solution should be great and will give a LOT more capabilities.

I have not seen a plan opened that doesn't paint all of the segments. However, if you save a plan that has 24 segments that have been painted and then open it and switch to 36 segments, 12 of segments won't be painted because they did not exist in the saved plan.

Print Screen works on every PC - but how you invoke it on your PC is probably different than others. Sometimes it is simply touching the PrtScr key. On my keyboard, I have to type <Function Key> - PrtScr. You will have to do some research on your computer/laptop/keyboard to see what the proper keystroke is to invoke PrtScr. You should then get a program such as IrfanView (free download from Title: IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide). Once you paste a screenshot into IrfanView, you can crop it as you wish and you can print it with far more options than I could give you. The screens you are wanting to print are not printable pages so the only thing I could do is to programmatically take a screenshot and allow that to be printed but this would not give you all the cropping/printing options you will get when you paste it into a program designed to give you those options.

When in Print Preview, unable to find any selection for Legal Paper 8.5" x 14" (216 x 355mm) to be able to print out info in either landscape or portrait mode. would this be a limitation of the software or other????

Michael, I believe that is a product of your printer setup. You would have to pick your printer properties and then specify what you wanted

When clicking on the Summary tab and looking at the info, only the wood species columns that are populated with data are shown, but yet when printing out the summary every single wood species column is printed whether any cells have data or not. How does one get only the populated cells to print?

Lloyd is working on a new summary print out as we speak. It is due out any day now it will be a complete rewrite of the summary. Watch for the new build. it should be build 23
