I made the wheel with a indexing device that is used for metalworking. I calculated all angles for it in a excelsheet. Then i made a jig for the drillpress and drilled all 1004 holes with a 4 mm drillbit.
Vase made of wenge, padauk, billinga, kambala, oak, chestnut and merbau. 18456 pieces. Bottom made of meranti, 24 segments per ring, cut in 2 and inserted a segmented disc containing 48 pieces. No finish yet.

When i shut down all programs and start SP there is no difference. When i design a vase/bowl lets say 5mm row, 24 segments, 80 rows i have no problems at all. When i start increasing the number of segments per row the program gets slower and slower. choosing another palette takes 5-10 seconds to...
Hello Lloyd, i have a few questions about segment pro. I use it for all designs now, i'm a segmenter.
When i start SP i see the version 1.1.029 but i can't see how to upgrade to newer versions?
Second question: When i design a vase or bowl with more then about 19,000 segments the program stops...

I imported the file, eagle bowl?, and played with the design, I made the bowl a little narrower on the top, and 3 rings appeared above the feature ring. With a little more wallthickness you can make the design.

A local store has these blanks on the shelf now and he challenged me to make a segmented pen with it.
The woods used are yew, padauk and wenge. Black and white pvc for the contrast.
