    Very nice vessel Kevin. I agree Earl is character. I love Youtube 'university' I have about 30 subscriptions. Have you tried using Wood Turner Pro instead of segment pro. You have more control of the rings. Also get Earls cheat sheets for ring calculations.

    Thank you guys for the replies. I figured it out after some thought ( not easy at 70 ). Anyway Earl ( earl's small segment shop) was kind enough to send me his cheat sheets so I just match the right angle to the closest degree number in the software.

    I am just dabbling in open segments atm. Using wood turner pro or segment pro there is a box that says segment spacing. I was just wondering what the numbers represent, degrees, inches etc. I usually go for 70% segment size so what number would I use that would be close to that. Thx in advance...

    Yes!! Thank you so much. I did it with your first post about using LP, took some playing as I haven't use it that much. I understand about the second method but not sure how to add the horizontal spacers on top and bottom of segment with adding a whole ring, anyway I got what I needed
