• Having problems with video with Segment PRO on a new PC? You could be experiencing one (or both) of two problems. First, if you have an ultra high-resolution screen, the recommended settings might be higher than 1920 x 1080 with a scale factor of more than 100% and the user interfaces for all software written in c# will NOT be correct. Simply change the resolution and scaling to 1920 x 1080 and scale to 100%. Second, if you have a wonky Bowl View, you have an Intel Iris graphics solution and there are serious problems with it. Solution - go to the Drivers page at Intel's website and install their latest driver for your computer. This will fix it. Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html

    Segment kick back

The drop off was not even with the sled, it is now. Raising blade height really helped. I also added a cheezy cardboard roof which helped some. Photos attached are the seg set-up and a few of the shop at the retirement community where I live.

    Segment kick back

Thanks, I'll check the ramp height. My shop is a community shop at a retirement community. So, I'll need to wait till morning to check it. The photo does appear to be low. FYI I am going to make a new sled more to the drawings then the one pictured.

    Segment kick back

Any help on why small edge length segs are kicking back. They usually hit my length stop and bounce out of sight. Photo of set up is attached.

    Sanding small diameter rings

I wasn't sure tape would hold, I'll try tape. On the lathe would I use a tool or sanding board? With either method is .010/.015 " oversize enough to work with? Is the side rail on the backing board to compensate for side movement caused by the helix on the sander drum roll, no pun intended.;)

    Sanding small diameter rings

My surface sander needs a 6" diameter ring to reach across infeed to outfeed rolls. I would like your ideas on sanding small rings. Thanks, Rich E.
