Mesquite live edge vase

Mesquite is one of my favorite woods to turn.

About 10 years ago the wood club had a presenter (forgot his name) that turned mesquite green. Mesquite being one of the more stable wood he stated he had no issues with cracking or warping.

Very nice vase. Mesquite has great grain and color patterns.

Thank you. I’ve turned it green and it moves vary little afterwards. The wood here was dry and hard as stone. Literally had the CBN wheel turning the whole time I was operating the lathe. I’m using Thompson steel too.
