splated maple

This 6" diameter bowl has a featured ring of spalted maple. The bottom was made out of mesquite.
Rest is scraps of maple , walnut and blood wood.
Mike, you've posted a couple good looking bowls. Of the two I like this one the best probably because of the striking wood. What are the sizes?

This bowl is approximate 6 inch in diameter 3.75 inch tall. One of the members at the woodshop was throwing out a couple of cut off ends of spalted maple from his project. I took them out of the trash. There was enough wood for a 6 inch ring. The base and top is mesquite I got from a landscaper. Still working on the mesquite wood he gave me.
