Beautiful turning, Martyn. I certainly would have guessed that it was done with a CNC. It goes to show how skilled you are with a scroll saw.

Nice work Martyn. I love your feature ring. Coincidentally, I have been thinking about doing a feature ring with my scroll saw, but haven't gotten around to it yet. You really nailed it with the leaf design which is very well done and looks very original too. I hope I can come up with a design half as good.

@martyn I started woodworking a year ago on a scrollsaw and am now transitioning to segmented bowls. Can you explain how on the scrollsaw you cut the mating leafs parts to not show a gap? On flat work I have used the technique where you sandwich two layers of wood with the inlay piece on the top and the inset on the bottom. The table angle is set to something like 2.5 degrees to cut an angled wedge. Is this similar to what you did?

sorry ive been side tracked with cnc stuff lol, if your still interested yes that was exactly the menthod i used to do this
