• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Open Segment Project "Interwoven"

We'll get Mike hooked on this yet! :)

Most likely.
This summer is a transition summer. We hope by fall to be full time in SCW, AZ. Trying to close a deal on a house. Then we go to sell two. There will not be much time for wood working. I hope to build a jig this fall.

Your post and Glenn is helping me out a bunch.

I know it is advantageous to turn the inside as you go but is there ever a point where you rough turn the outside before the glue up is complete? Even just to smooth the corners?? Just curious.

I turn the outside as I go down to the glue line (knock off the corners) mainly because I've been nicked by them coming around while I'm turning. I hit the top row with sandpaper so it isn't quite as sharp until I get a row on top of it. As long as you don't go into the glued area you don't decrease the strength. You also keep it a little better in balance. Just my thoughts.

Thanks Bluemax, that was basically my thought as well. I did end up doing a bit of rough turning on the outside this morning as well. I first used Power sanding to take the corners down and then used my small Easy Wood carbide cutter to take a bit more. What is your tool of choice? Bob had recommended the Thompsons 1/4 Detail Gouge. I think Tom Lohman uses the Easy Wood as well.
