On a roll now
Glenn:
thanks for posting the close up photo of your jig while gluing a segment.
Helps me better understand the construction process.
This is about how much glue I have been using. What do other open segmenters think. I need to get one of those Babybot glue bottles. I use a solder flux brush, seems to work ok.

Glenn
I've been using a syringe to apply glue for open segment work. As you know it only takes a very small amount of glue to do the job and accurately placing it minimizes cleanup.
The syringe is plastic tube with a curved tip. Name is Monojet curved 412. Available on Amazon today for $5.29 for a package of five.
Glenn, beautiful work. I'm starting on my jig today. Received the lazysusan yesterday. I know about slow and steady, my motto has been, "patience my @$$ I want it now." But I am working on the patience.
Look nice Glenn how may rows to go?
I usually put enough glue in for 2-3 rows. Which isn't a lot. When I'm done with a row I put the syringe in a small container of water. A yogurt container or something similar, tip down in the water. The prevents the glue from drying in the tip for the time it takes for the ring to be ready for the next row. Over night, I do empty the cylinder as much as possible and leave the cylinder without the plunder in water. The next day or whenever I get back, lt's easy to clean out the little remaining to start fresh.Thank you Art, that is certainly a good option. Do you clean these out after each row?
