Bob
has been a carpenter in central Connecticut for
over 20 years where he spent much of that time developing
his woodworking skills. Many woodworking projects
were never started, though, due to the requirement
of woodturnings. So nearly five years ago, Bob answered
the call of the lathe and has been an avid turner
ever since.
While Bob enjoys all aspects of woodturning, segmented
turning has become his passion with a goal of becoming
a full-time turner. His designs range from traditional
to experimental, featuring inlays, laminations and
the joining of hollow turnings and segmented rings.
Much of his spare time is spent experimenting with
new techniques. And as those that frequent the various
woodturning newsgroups can attest, he takes great
pleasure in sharing those techniques with others.
We are thrilled that Bob has agreed to be a Contributing
Artist for Woodturner PRO and look forward to offering
many great projects from him. |
